Pregnancy Physical Therapy and Birth Preparation in Alpharetta, GA

Pregnancy shouldn't mean gritting your teeth through pain, and birth goes better when your body is trained for it. We keep you comfortable through every trimester and prepare you, physically and mentally, for delivery day.

Pain relief during pregnancy

Back, hip and pelvic girdle pain, sciatica, and round ligament pain, treated hands-on, with safe stretching, relaxation and strengthening tailored to each stage of pregnancy.

Birth Empowerment Training

Our most complete birth prep: stretching, relaxation, strengthening, pushing techniques, childbirth education, partner training, biofeedback and TENS training, so you walk into delivery confident and ready.

When to start

Any time. For pelvic pain, we want to see women as soon as possible. For wellness and general birth prep, start at 12 weeks. How many sessions you need for birth prep depends on your history and evaluation findings. Patients are generally scheduled weekly, but that can change a bit depending on what we recommend during your evaluation.

Common questions

Is it safe while pregnant?

Yes. We treat throughout pregnancy, and again afterward, whether you deliver vaginally or by cesarean. Only internal pelvic floor treatment is deferred until the second trimester, and until 6–8 weeks postpartum, and only with your consent.

Can my partner come?

Yes; partner training is part of Birth Empowerment Training.

Do I need a referral?

No. Georgia allows direct access to physical therapy. After 3 weeks or 8 sessions, whichever comes first, you'll need a referral. We help with this process.
